Re: What are some of the Solutions for testing HDMI 1.4? | |
TDMS cable and TDR tests can be preformed using a DCA (Agilent 86100C) with the TDR module (54754A) and a dual channel electrical receiver (86112A) or if you have a Network analzer that would work even better. |

Thanks. What frequence of the Network anaylzer would I need? What is a good model number…something not too expensive. |

You would need a 8GHz or above network analzer. Since 8GHz is needed the old legacy 8753ES will not work since it only goes to 6GHz. You would need to use the ENA. The E5071B (discontinued) or the E5071C would work with the 8.5GHz option and desired amount of ports. |

the Media cable tests are the easiest part of the test cycle. When you get into the Tx and Rx testing you have to go with high end stuff like 13GHz scopes with compliance software and probing solutions for the Source tests and then you would need a ParBert system and software along with a few signal Generator' class='regSlim'>generators for the Sink tests. |

What phase are you look at testing? There are many solutions for each phase. Tx (Source Test), Media (Cable Test), Rx (Sink Test) to Protocol Tests? |
