Software Engineering Intern

TestUnlimited is looking for a Software Engineering intern to help us grow! This Software Engineering internship is a fantastic opportunity to learn the differences between a legacy web applications and a leading edge application. The intern will be able to apply all the skills from school to a growing platform. As such, this role will help the intern develop valuable software engineering skills, experience, and technology.

Core responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance. Help maintain and enhance the existing platform built on VB.Net, ASP.NET, and SQL Server on Azure Cloud.
  • Building. Help re-building the legacy marketplace app with newer technologies like Lambda, Microservices, API Gateway, React.
  • Design. Contribute to the CI/CD process and the design of the overall architecture of the next generation of the marketplace app.
  • Improve. Contribute ideas on how to improve the performance, security, and usability for the new platform.

Education, Skills & Experience

  • Pursuing Computer Science bachelor’s degree and strong academic performance
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Ability to work remote and use tools like Google Hangout to communicate
  • Ability to multiple manage projects – requires exceptional organizational skills
  • Enthusiasm for seeing your work produce measurable results
  • Knowledge of programming languages, database, and software development tools
